SETI Still Searching While SETI continues their search for extraterrestrial contact, a large number of researchers believe that this contact was made many years ago, and continues today. There are so many ancient references to beings not of this world in writings, paintings, cave drawings, and other artifacts, that it is almost stupid to deny that an alien influence on Earth can be seen throughout history. A man went to a movie in 1957 with his father. Are alien abductions real, or are they a product of a dream, sleep paralysis, or just an overactive imagination? Some of those who claim to have been abducted or “abductees,” as they are called today, say that they are being awakened from sleep, and transported to an alien spacecraft. Hard core scientists believe that these abductees never left their bed. Once the abductees are aboard the alien craft they are subjected to medical tests by strange looking creatures not of this world. These tests vary greatly from one account to another, but generally consist of a general overview of the human body, and sometimes sexual probing. In early July of 1947, a UFO crashed in Roswell, New Mexico . For reasons unknown, New Mexico lieutenant governor Joseph Montoya was visiting the Roswell air field on July 7, 1947. This fact has been established by the testimony of several supporters of his at the time. The city of Roswell proper, and the Roswell air force base were very much astir with the recent activities surrounding the crash of the “unknown object” in the deserts near the small New Mexico city. The timing of Montoya’s visit to the air base coincided with the arrival of debris from the crash of the UFO. The capture of the flying disc had been announced to the press by the military, and then retracted, causing a flurry of rumors in the desert town. Although Montoya’s presence at the base has no official explanation, it is only reasonable to assume that the crash itself had warranted his arrival at the base. An extremely compelling account of alien abduction that took place in 1987 in the Ilkey Moor, Yorkshire, U.K. is a unique case which may include one of the very few photographs taken of a live alien being. The main character and only witness of a UFO and alien being is one Philip Spencer, a retired policeman. He claims to have been taken aboard an unidentifed flying object, and snap one photograph of an unknown being. The photograph was then shipped to America to be enhanced by computer, and analyzed. Dr. Bruce Maccabee, optical physicist with the United States Navy gave his expert conclusion: “I had great hopes that this case would prove definitive. Some Final Reports Alien contact cases began to dwindle as the decade of the 90s began, but there were still some very important accounts to present. You will notice the small number of cases in this final report. There may be several reasons for this. Many reports of this kind are often kept in the hands of one investigator, or group for quite some time, while an investigation is conducted. Often, the witness is reluctant to have their story made public, and it might be many years before an incident of an alien encounter reaches the public. The first alien contact case of note in the 1990s occurred on December 19, and happened in Westchester, NY. To use a cliché, it was a dark, stormy night, when our 22-year-old subject and his girlfriend settled down for the night in a guest house on his parent’s property. Neither of the two used drugs at all, and neither one had drank any alcohol that night. I enjoyed your article about alien contact, and just wanted to drop you my thoughts on the subject. Well-known Cases First, I do believe that there have been some visits to humans by ETs; not nearly as many as are claimed, of course, but certainly some. A lot of very credible witnesses who have nothing to gain by fabricating contact stories have come forth (many times reluctantly) with accounts of encounters with ETs. The Bentwaters case is a prime example of this – the landing of the probable ET craft is well documented, and the personnel who were involved have stuck to their stories. None of them have tried to capitalize on their accounts. The Japan Air Lines sighting off Alaska is another case that has stood the test of time – if anyone can be trusted to be telling the truth about what they’re seeing, it’s going to be a Japanese commercial pilot.
